Delete your account

From the app

The fastest way to delete your HandwriterAI account is from inside the app: open the menu, go to Account → Manage data → Delete account, and confirm. This permanently removes your account and the data tied to it (see below) and cannot be undone.

By email

If you can’t access the app, email support@handwriter.app from the address associated with your account with the subject “Account deletion request.” We’ll verify ownership of the account and delete it within 30 days, usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

• Your account and login credentials.
• Your profile and onboarding answers.
• Documents you’ve created and their rendered PDFs.
• Photos you uploaded for transcription or handwriting samples.
• Handwriting fonts (glyph sets) you trained.
• Push notification tokens for your devices.

What we keep, and for how long

We retain a minimal record of completed purchases and refunds for as long as tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention law requires (typically up to 7 years). These records are not used for any other purpose. We may also retain anonymized, aggregated usage statistics that can no longer be linked to you.

Cancelling a subscription

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel the subscription from your Apple ID settings (iOS) or the Play Store subscriptions screen (Android) before or after deleting your account to stop future charges.
